LECTURES



This week we started working on the next project, namely posters. Before that we were given a lecture about surrealism and realism, we studied these topics to be able to brainstorm the posters we would make.

Realism emphasizes the representation of reality accurately and realistically, trying to depict objects or subjects in accordance with their original conditions. Meanwhile, Surrealism places more emphasis on imagination and the subconscious world, using unreal and fantastic objects and subjects.

PROJECT 2 / Exercise 8-9 – Poster

Exercise 8-9

Research
In the eighth week I started working on the poster. I did research and brainstorming for the poster I wanted to make. Because this assignment is a collaboration with IVN, the main thing I researched was quotes.

The quote I will use is "I'd love To See Me From Your POV" I took this quote from the Ariana Grande song POV. In my opinion, this quote has a romantic meaning of loving yourself so that why it makes people fall in love with your real self from the inside and oiutside


After doing a lot of research quotes, I started to determine the photography I wanted. Photography references, I got some of these references from Pinterest. After that, I did photography near campus with the mirror that I had. I was helped by my boyfriend in the photo so that the meaning was more visible.





Sketch 
I do a sketch after I have gathered the photography I want to use. My sketch idea was to put lots of eyes in the background and hearts, to symbolize POV and the feeling of falling in love. I also plan to give the poster a dreamy vibe. Because when people fall in love they feel like a beautiful dream.






Process
I started digitizing the poster. In some processes I initially deleted the background and I used the sky in the photo for the background. I also added cloud and eye elements to support the theme of the poster.I also included quotes that I had made in the IVN lesson, I also made the head exploded some hearts into the sky.


I added a little highlight to the poster so it could show the quotes, I also added the words "love" and "pov".

Week 9
Sir Fauzi liked the concept of my POV and he said that if possible, put the quotes on the clothes, because the clothes are white. He also suggested a hand mirror that was suitable for his photography.
