LECTURES
WEEK 4 : Digital Collages
for this week I was taught photoshop. Here we started to be
taught how to do digital collage in photoshop. he
taught me how to use Photoshop, and showed me how to cut the
image material that was provided. he explained step by step the processes of how to use
Pentool, after that he explained how to save and also
export the results into a collage. For this self-directed week we learned about filters and adjustment layers.
A filter in Photoshop is a feature or digital
effect that allows users to modify photos, repair
them, create multiple special visual effects, and
shift pixels. Adjustment layers sit above the standard image
layers and act as overlays that can adjust
brightness, contrast, hue, satuartion, and more,
without directly affecting the actual image.
The composition that I made for this DPI has the meaning of being trapped in a repetitive time. From the image of the building to the background, people, and the vending machine, I used the pen tool. For the fish I used the magic wand so that it made it easier for me to cut theimage. For the planet, I used the shape tools in the form of a circle.
After that we learned to use layer adjustments and also filters on the final composition that had been chosen. Initially I wanted my composition to be like space, but if I increased the darkness, it would not be visible, so I used several filters; first I used exposure for several elements.
I also used color adjustments so that some elements of the image changed color. I wanted my composition of elements to be blue and also purple (magenta) so that the composition looked like it was radiating galaxy light. Because the concept of the composition was time, I also slightly changed the color of the vending machine to the color of a time machine, so that it could visualize time machines.
( this filter and adjustment layer is done in week 5, because it was only asked to be done in week 5 )

Week 4 : Digital collage
This week we were taught to use Photoshop
to create a digital collage
assignment.
These are some composition layouts that I
made from composition 1 to 3. At first I had
a hard time getting a composition idea,
because I had to know the material that I
would use. But after that I slowly found
some ideas.
After the composition work was completed, I
could submit the assignment and after that I
waited for the feedback that Mr. Fauzi would
give. On Monday Mr. Fauzi finally gave me
feedback on composition 1, according to him
composition 1 was the best composition.
Finally I was able to process my composition
1 with layer adjustment and also filter (I
did this assignment in week 5).
During the process of working on it, I
wanted to include some filters that could
make my composition more space-themed. I
included color adjustments that made some
elements change color, but I didn't want to
change much. I also colored other things so
that they fit more into the theme.

Then he told me to procced the progress
with color adjustment and also
filters.
