Project 1 Week 5 : Heart Mansion



LECTURES


For this week we learned about adjustment layers in photo shop. We were given a tutorial about our new assignment, the heart mansion. There I was taught how to match colors, use brightness, create reflections, and also shadows from the tools provided in photoshop.


In self-directed learning we learn about double exposure. A double exposure is a photograph composed of two combined and overlaid images. You can create double exposures in Photoshop or with digital cameras using a special setting. These images often have a dreamy, otherworldly feel and you can use them for great artistic effect, with both digital cameras and film.


INSTRUCTION 


PROJECT 1 / Exercise 5 – Heart Mansion

Exercise 1

We are given a video tutorial about the heart mansion. The video tutorial contains how to change the shazam to match the heart mansion background that has been provided.






This is a photo given for our work on Shazam's Heart Mansion. After that, we were asked to enter and make the Shazam blend with the background, by playing with match color, brightness, and etc. 



At first I had trouble adjusting the brightness for the shazam, but finally I was able to complete the task. After adjusting the color, brightness, exposure, and others. Finally I was able to complete this task.

At the end of the video we were told to make a heart mansion like Shazam, but Shazam was replaced by our photo. The condition in our photo must be eye-level photo. So I took many photos of positions and this photo is what I took for the assignment.


I took this photo at my university. I took that position because I think this is a photo that gets the eye level element.






same as the shazam task, I set the adjustment of color, exposure, brightness, shadow, reflection, and others. It's just that I had difficulty in matching the color, because after I used the filter, what happened was not according to my expectations. 

In the end I was able to adjust it again so that it was more visible and finally I was able to complete the task.
